Elden earned his Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University School of Law in 1992. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1972. From 1972 through October 1994, he worked in the aircraft and personal computer industries as a design engineer and engineering manager for various companies.
Mr. Sodowsky opened his law practice in 1994. He brings to his clients a wide range of experiences from being an employee in a large organization to managing a staff of professionals to owning, operating and managing his own business.
Mr. Sodowsky is admitted to practice before all courts in Virginia, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Fairfax Bar Association, the Prince William County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS).
He was named ASTPS Practitioner of the Year in 2017. He has presented on various tax-related topics to multiple Realtor ® groups and organizations and served as CPE/CLE instructor to CPAs.
